W RUGBY x DAVID CAMPESE

We join forces with the rugby legend’s Academy to grow grassroots rugby across Australia

W RUGBY are proud to announce our new partnership with an Aussie rugby legend, David Campese. Together we join forces to help grow grassroots rugby across Australia.

The 101 cap Wallaby and hall of famer, David Campese, runs his very own Rugby Academy to impart his experience and rugby knowledge to the new generation of boys and girls.

W RUGBY will become the official ball partners to David Campese’s Rugby Academy and young kids will be playing with brand new W RUGBY balls in academy sessions, skill schools and holiday camps across Australia.

Campo said, “I started the Academy to help players and coaches to become more passionate about rugby and instil an exciting brand of rugby for everyone to enjoy. Part of building that excitement is making sure we partner with the right brands and getting kids equipped with top quality equipment that is aimed at the grassroots game specifically. As a new brand on the block, I can see W RUGBY pulling out all the stops to show that they are part of the exciting rugby ethos, breaking away from stale status quo.”

Campese’s world famous on field style of creativity, flair and ability to push boundaries fits perfectly into W RUGBY’s brand pillars, one of which is bringing innovation and excitement into grassroots rugby.

As part of the partnership, David Campese’s Academy and W RUGBY will also be donating brand new rugby balls to grassroots causes which will include schools and surrounding clubs in the area.

W RUGBY founders Dovy Cornerford and Andy Lewis added, “W RUGBY was born to grow grassroots and excite the new generation. As part of our Project Won for Won initiative, we are matching the number of balls purchased by Campese’s Academy and giving away balls to grassroots communities across Australia. Partnering with such a huge name in rugby will ensure more exposure for our Project and in turn giving clubs access to premium equipment that they otherwise would not have access to.”

Check out the David Campese Rugby Academy and enrol your kids to 15s or 7s sessions. If you’re too old like us - but still want the knowledge of the legend, Campo has a new book out which you can order here.
