Rugby, Beach, Sun, and Won for Won

W RUGBY are incredibly excited to announce that we have partnered with Rugby Fives in Australia as their official ball partners in their upcoming beach rugby festival at the iconic Palm Beach, Sydney.

After a brief break due to Covid, Rugby Fives, powered by Wahu is back! A jam-packed day full of beach rugby, music, games, giveaways and rubbing shoulders with international rugby heroes, it promises to be a fun day out for the family on the 30th October 2022

W RUGBY were announced as the official ball provider for Rugby Fives and we are thrilled to be working with them to elevate our Project: Won for Won initiative, where for every ball sold, we donate another to Grassroots Rugby.

Growing Grassroots in NSW

NSW Positive Rugby Foundation is a major partner to Rugby Fives, and an important one at that. Blake Harris, Rugby Fives tournament director said, “Not only is this going to be a great day out for everyone, but it gives us the opportunity to raise the profile of grassroots rugby in NSW.”

With the help of NSW Positive Rugby Foundation, the Rugby Fives tournament will create opportunities for people to experience the positive values and life skills unique to rugby, not only on the day, but continuously into the future. The main aim of NSW Positive Rugby Foundation is to improve access to high quality resources and programs.

“That’s where we come in,” said Dovy Cornerford and Andy Lewis, founders of W RUGBY. “These types of partnerships are a no brainer to us. Our whole company ethos is to ensure grassroots rugby teams play and train with the best equipment available, enabling us to grow grassroots across the country.”

The tournament itself will see sixteen junior u12s teams battle it out across two inflatable pitches on the golden sands of Palm Beach. In addition, exhibition teams of ex-Wallabies, Waratahs, All Star Men’s, All Star Women’s, Classic Wallabies, Shute Shield Stars and Wahu Wildcards will take to the rugby stage. Once the games are over, it’s your chance to meet and mingle with past and present legends of the game.

In the lead up to the big day, look out for competitions and giveaways from Rugby Fives and W RUGBY socials to get you excited. We will also be there to meet all of you and give you a chance to win some W RUGBY balls.

So put it in your diaries and get yourself over to Palm Beach on the 30th October 2022, after a tough year for rugby domestically in NSW – Rugby. Is. Back!
