C O N N E C T I O N S

Designed by Caleb Nichol-Mansell, Tasmanian Aboriginal Artist

The artwork I have designed on the W RUGBY ball relates to our connection to water, not only as island people but as a giver of life, through food and the resources it provided and still provides for First Nations people. Our connection to water is deeply imprinted on us through thousands of years of connection, knowledge, and navigation. The line work represents the water around our island, as well as the water that carves through the Country. It is also representative of our layered history and knowledge of these lands. The artwork is encompassing of our shared connection and narrative as First Nations people and illustrates our deep and detailed relationship with Country.

We wanted to celebrate W RUGBY’s deep-rooted connections with Grassroots rugby and to bring our game to all people across Australia.

With every ball sold, we’re donating another to Country clubs, schools and indigenous communities, Won for Won™
